Stereoil paintings express on one surface; what both eyes saw at a particular moment, focused on one point in space. This is a totally unique attitude, never before developed in art. It began in 1973.
Every other artist paints with one eye. Why? Who knows. The vision, the idea, accomplishes many situations. Two views; simple cubism. A face creates a face; two eyes see two eyes. Hidden faces are created scientifically. Dali realized the face but not where they came from.
Even a beautiful scene as the beach can appear quite frightening. You may not realize why these paintings "bother" you. Part of it is subliminal peripheral realisticism, binary conceptualism.
